All debts being owed Ghanaian contractors will be paid within the first 100 days of a New Patriotic Party (NPP) administration, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has promised.

According to the NPP presidential candidate, should he emerge victorious in the upcoming presidential elections, he would put in place policies to ensure that Ghanaian contractors improve their capacities to be able  in order to compete with international companies for larger contracts.

For him, since about 90 percent of goods and services are transported by road, the development of “our roads is extremely important…” hence the need to support local contractors in the sector.

Nana Addo also pledged to revamp the country’s railway system saying, it “will be a high priority to ensure that the transportation of goods and services receive some divestiture.”
