As part of measures to mitigate the spread of COVID-19, private waste management company Zoomlion Ghana has taken its disinfection drive to the Kotoka International Airport (KIA).

The exercise is being done through its vector control company Vectorpes and other private vector control companies.
The company said on Facebook: “500mg/L chlorine dioxide will be adopted for air disinfection, with 10-20ml/m3. Windows will be closed before disinfection, and the surface and the space will be evenly sprayed, starting from up-down, and then from left to right.”
Already, Zoomlion has disinfected several public and private institutions in the country including schools and markets.
Zoomlion said on its Facebook page that: “Today, we will be disinfecting all Airports across the country following the Guidelines for Prevention of Novel Coronavirus Infection in Public Places, Guidance to Disinfection Techniques in Public Places, and Guidance for the Use of Disinfectants.
