One of the features which can easily be noticed from most musicians is that you mostly find them with a paper and a pen taking note of their lyrics, verses and punch lines to be delivered on a song once they enter the studio boot.
However, ‘Uptown Energy’ frontliner, Yaa Pono has shockingly revealed that for him most of the songs he records are not written unlike other artistes because he’s got all his lyrics and verses locked up in his head.
Speaking in an interview Doctor Kay on Accra fm Drive Nkran kwaso, Yaa Pono said for the past 7 to 8 years he hasn’t written any of his songs on paper.
He remarked “No I don’t go to the studio with my songs already written. That’s how I mostly write my songs in my mind.
“So for the past 7 or 8 years I always write my songs in my head so if you see me holding a pen and paper then probably it’s something else that I want to write it down.
“I don’t write my songs like the verses, chorus and stuffs like that. But that’s how I have been working most of the time.”
